Prestine Manderville Jr. born in Statesboro, GA grew up in the small community of Rocky Ford just outside of Sylvania, Ga. One of his sisters left behind a camera then he gained more interest in filming when he began using the camera for his high school track meets. He would take the footage and align the footage with music from Spider Man’s “Main Title sequence” created by Kyle Cooper & Danny Elfman (2002). He found it very interesting that music and film together can produce feelings in those watching.[p] PJ Manderville attended Claflin University from 2005-2009 where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication. He created an on-campus show named Infamous Clips where he learned the duties of producing. Claflin taught him the importance of structure, helped him gain a professional touch on his projects. In 2009, after several news station job offers, he decided entrepreneurship was the best option for him and started his company, Color Star Media which specializes in videography in the Summer of 2009.[p] In 2013 Prestine Created, Produced, and Directed Before The Hype TV Show. This talk show featured those who were rising in their professions. This show eventually aired in Charlotte, NC on Time Warner now known as Spectrum reaching potentially 170,000 viewers each episode. In early 2017 He Filmed and Directed Music Video “Struggle Baby” which featured Grammy award winning Hip Hop artist DaBaby. He also gave musical production input during the recording process prior to DaBaby adding his verse. “Struggle Baby” now has over 300,000 streams on Spotify.[p] During his years as a business owner, he has produced content for other notables Cynthia Bailey and Kandi Burruss Of Real Housewives Of Atlanta, Duchess of “Black Ink”, Producer, Jazze Pha, Rapper & Actor TI, Angela Yee (Breakfast Club In The Morning) Nascar Driver, Kyle Busch, and Singer, Monica.[p] He created and produced the first sports live streaming platform at Johnson C. Smith University in 2017 which he currently produces live streams for their Athletic Program.[p] He recently finished film production as Director Of Photography for New York Times Best Seller, Omar Tyree. Omar Tyree’s “Monologues” "Monologues" was released on Amazon, August 2020.[p] PJ currently is filming 1 film, and also in the pre-production stages of a web series and his first fully directed film.[p] PJ was awarded The Claflin University 40 Under 40 Outstanding Leaders Award in April 2020.[p]
