Founder Notes: Building a More Connected World Podcast Network

Hello, podcasters and friends of World Podcast Network. I want to share a few of the changes we have been working on as we continue to make WPN easier to use and more connected for the people who create and listen to podcasts.

Making WPN more interactive

We are continuing to move World Podcast Network toward a more social, community-focused experience. Likes are one part of that effort: they give listeners another simple way to show support and help create more interaction across the network. Our goal is to make it easier for podcasters and listeners to feel connected, discover shows, and take part in the WPN community.

Podcast artwork can come through your RSS feed

We are improving the way podcast information is brought into WPN. When your RSS feed includes your podcast image, WPN can use that artwork to help fill in your show’s presentation. This makes it easier to keep your podcast page looking complete and helps reduce the amount of information you need to enter by hand.

Keeping your RSS feed accurate and up to date remains important. It is the source that helps podcast platforms and directories stay current with your show’s details and artwork.

Better insight through analytics

We are also working to make analytics more useful for podcasters. Clearer information about activity on the network can help you understand how people are engaging with your podcast and where you may want to focus your promotion. We want these tools to support practical decisions as you work to grow your audience.

Mobile app testing is coming

Another important step is testing the World Podcast Network mobile app. We are preparing to try the app in real-world use, look for issues, and improve the experience before moving forward. Testing is an important part of making sure the app works well for listeners and podcasters on mobile devices.

As we test, we will keep refining the experience and sharing progress. The goal is to make WPN more accessible wherever our community listens, discovers shows, and manages its podcast presence.
