Welcome to Sh!t That Goes On In Our Heads, the podcast where two best friends keep each other sane through humor, engaging conversation, and yes, even the occasional curse word.
Our journey began when G-Rex experienced a mental breakdown on Christmas Day 2022. It was a terrifying moment, but thanks to the support of 988 and her wife, and a higher power looking out for her, G-Rex realized it wasn’t her time to go. She found healing in sharing her story on social media and discovered that laughter, along with therapy, played a vital role in her recovery. From that day forward, she vowed to prevent anyone from feeling as terrified as she did on that fateful day or the days leading up to it. Our mission is to normalize conversations about mental health and remind people that they are never alone in their own journeys.
Join G-Rex and her partner in crime, Dirty Skittles, as they delve into lighthearted discussions about life’s ups and downs. We cover everything from relationships and parenting to pop culture and, of course, mental health. We believe that everyone has their own unique journey when it comes to mental health, and it’s important to embrace and understand that.
But our podcast goes beyond just making you laugh (although we promise there will be plenty of that). We also provide helpful tips and strategies for navigating tough times. Each episode leaves you feeling uplifted, inspired, and armed with new tools to take on whatever challenges life throws at you.
Sh!t That Goes On In Our Heads is more than just a podcast – it’s a reflection of two friends who understand the importance of having someone by your side during life’s trials. Our conversations are authentic, real, and designed to make you feel like you’re part of the group too.
So if you’re seeking a momentary break from the chaos of everyday life or simply need a little pick-me-up, tune in to Sh!t That Goes On In Our Heads. We promise that when you leave, you’ll feel better than when you came in.
And always remember, it’s okay to not be okay, as long as you’re reaching out to someone and talking about it!
