Veteran Rockers sounds better on MixCloud

I started Veteran Rockers in 2023 but restarted it in June of this year for one fundamental reason: Spotify nuked their music plus talk format. The music-plus-talk format allowed me to run my podcast like a rock radio show with built-in music-playing capabilities. When Spotify emailed me about that change that took effect in June, I initially thought Veteran Rockers was over, as my show is a music history podcast. Then, I found out about this platform called MixCloud. With a small monthly membership fee, I can now use my own downloaded music along with my digitized vinyl and CD collection for the same purpose as the first time around. The only catch is that I can’t distribute the episodes with that copyrighted music on my regular podcast feed. This prompted me to create talk-only episodes for the podcast feed but include clickable links to the Mixcloud version with the music in the show notes. Join me on this journey through rock and roll history only on Veteran Rockers.
